You’re Never Too Old for Toys

There’s something so nice about having little knick knacks around. Something to make your grey winter day a little brighter and remind you of a simpler time.

Recently, I’ve been a little enthralled in the world of Funko figures and have started to collected them. From Agent Dana Skully to Jareth, my collection has started to grow.

Even though I should be spending my money on other necessity’s it becomes difficult when they release characters from some of Keanu’s better films and it becomes hard to clench my purse. How can I say no to “The One”?df00e2bbaaac7c26a6b195025a113ba1.jpg

Or even hesitate one second to think of my future with out Ted from Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure?

I know I should be stronger then these little plastic figures but there’s something about them that reminds me that it’s ok to enjoy the simple things in life. It’s ok to give in from time to time and treat yourself to something that makes you happy.

Also it reminds me that I need to get back to writing this freakin’ play!

John Wick 2 is Coming….

Yeah…I’m thinking he’s back…this time for a sequel!

I don’t know about you but I’m super excited that John Wick‘s story line is going to continue.

Sure Hollywood is saturated with sequels but this one is at least an original idea and story. It’s refreshing and makes me hopeful that we will get more. They sure lucked out with Keanu because he’s such a professional and has become the Harrison Ford or Liam Neeson type of unlikely action star, though we always knew he had it in him from the early 90s with movies like Speed and Johnny Mnemonic and I think that’s why this role suited him so well.

Well, since that film has no release date yet and still waiting for Knock Knock to makes its release nation wide here’s a little something to hold us over until then:

I know that if you’re reading this site you probably have some fascination or interest in Mr. Reeves and if you’re truly dedicated you probably have seen he latest movie, now out on Blu-ray and DVD, John Wick.

As you probably already know (and if you don’t SPOILER ALERT) he kills a lot of people in the film. But how many? Well, this little video some amazing person put together not only tells you but also shows you all the kills in the film! It’s ridiculous and amazing. So, how many do you guess? 10? 15? 50? Keanu Reeves: Nerdist Podcast Interview

If you’ve been reading this site you know how excited I get for anything “New” Keanu. So, you can only imagine the thrill of excitement that washed over me when I found out that there was a Nerdist Podcast Interview with Mr. Reeves himself.

I absolutely LOVE the Nerdist and felt that it was too good to be true that they got him on. Granted it was only a half hour, unlike their normal hour and a half interviews, Chris Hardwick hit all the important questions and even got out some good laughs.

My greatest takeaway from this interview is Keanu says he wants to be in a musical! Even though he says a big “romantic type” musical he still needs to become aware that I can give him what he wants!
So, I just ask all my readers and Keanu fans to spread the word about Keanu! The Musical. It would be nice to have him aware of this beautiful story about his life and if he wants to star in it, that’s fine by me!IMG_0029.JPG

I’m Thinking He’s Back…

Well, to normal people who haven’t been obsessed with Mr. Reeves for the past four years may not have seen Keanu around as much. Sure he did some films here and there like Man of Thai Chi and 47 Ronin but something was missing from those, that little Keanu flair and charm that makes him, well, him.

That’s where John Wick stands out above the rest. Not only does it deliver on non-stop action with just the right amount of violence but the dialog and story really put the movie right where it needed to be. Keanu kicking ass.

Derek Kolstad knew what he was doing when he wrote this script. There was just enough story to capture our interest and he never delved too far in to the backstory allowing the audience to piece it together for themselves, which I appreciated. He also knew the perfect timing to pull out the big guns and make the typical “action movie one liners” that really stuck their landing when said AND some great subtitles (that’s all I’m going to say about it).

And don’t get me started on the cast! Wow! Not only was Keanu perfect for this role he was also surrounded by a star studded ensemble. From Willem Dafoe to John Legizamo this movie hit gold with their cast.

And of course Keanu brought all the right moves and I can say for sure.

We just want something classic. A blast from the past. Something normal we can grasp. That’s why an email blast from him makes sense.
Keanu knows all and what we want even before we know.
So. Don’t fuck with Keanu or he’ll blast you. Email style.

John Wick Here…

I will have to admit when I first heard about Keanu’s movie John Wick I was not impressed. A former hit man getting back into “the game”. Yawn! But when I saw the recent trailer my tune has definitely changed. Not only is he a reluctant returning hit man but he’s one who definitely wouldn’t want to mess with because he’s got a cause to get back into the game. Just watch.

No one kills an adorable puppy with out consequences. And to top it off it the puppy was a gift from his dead wife! No wonder he’s pissed and ready to spill some blood.

Not only is Keanu upping his acting game but he’s also exploring the ever popular anti-hero/hero character. Sure John Wick has probably has done some wrong in his life and gone and changed his ways but when pushed you better watch out.

Also Poor Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen ) will you never learn not to piss off the wrong people.

Rumored has it that it’s a heavily violent/bloody movie which I’m sensing a Drive-esque feel. I know I’m ready for some bloody revenge Keanu time. Are you? The movie comes out October 24th and I’m a gonna be ready, blood and all!

Mark your calendars, a new film starring Mr Reeves is coming to us all soon!

The film is about a hitman, not to be confused with his upcoming TV mini series Rain where he also plays one.


Sounds interesting and action packed. And William Defoe is in it so we at least know it’ll be good, creepy fun.
